The restaurant opens from Sunday to Wednesday from 8am to 2pm.
And from Thursday to Saturday from 8am to 5pm.

Guests of our hotel and glamping have access to room service until 9pm every day.

Chef Juan Carlos Ibarra was born in La Paz, Baja California Sur. He began his culinary career in Guadalajara, Jalisco, and returned to his hometown to develop his professional experience. His main goal as a chef is to delight the taste buds of the most demanding patrons with his expert culinary abilities. Carrying over 14 years of experience, he has worked at numerous world-class hotels, restaurants, cruise lines, and events in both Jalisco and Baja, including the 2011 Pan-American Games.

His consistent display of excellence, dedication, and passion for what he does have made him an important addition to MAREA’s team, and his original ideas have made our menu an interesting spectacle of merged textures and flavors.

We got to know the BAHIA restaurant because we stayed at the MAREA hotel. It was the place where we had breakfast and lunch practically daily. It is worth experiencing! It is minutes from the boardwalk and downtown La Paz. The food is excellent and the service top quality. A sample of the local food that we wanted to know so much in a unique and natural environment. You can eat in the air-conditioned lounge or on the spacious outdoor terrace. We liked it a lot because after lunch we could also walk through the beautiful MAREA campus, exploring its paths and unique vegetation, full of details and tables and chairs to relax that lead to the beach and the sea where we also met a sea lion swimming ! You can't miss it if you visit La Paz!
